Just signed up for The Mt. Hood Cycling Classic which will be the final big race of my first full cycling season.
This race should be a true ball buster!
Stage 1, Road Race - 54 miles, 3600 ft of climbing.
Stage 2, Time Trial - 19 Miles, 2000 ft of climbing (Most Time Trials are about 10 miles with very little climbing)
Stage 3, Road Race - 92 Miles, 10,500 ft of climbing (for comparison, The Mt. Baker Hill climb is regarded as tough at just 24.5 miles and 4300 ft of climbing)
Stage 4, A crazy criterium course in downtown Hood River around the Full Sail Brewery. I just hope to make it to the start line for this one.
The greater pain, the greater the reward!
