1. Bite of Bellingham - this was a first time Bellingham experience and I'd recommend it to anyone. With great food, music and overall vibe we kicked off our vacation with a full belly. My favorite items came from Man Pies and Copper Hog who served up some delicious mini corn dogs.
Back on the Bike - I'm stoked to ride full steam once again on all the usual routes. In the last week, I hit up Colony Road, the Ferndale Flats and even jump in on the Saturday Donut Ride. It feels great to be back in the saddle before Summer ends. The collar bone is feels outstanding.
4 days in Whistler at Nita Lake Lodge ended up being the perfect getaway. We had a lake view room with 15 ft. ceilings, stone fireplace and a lakeview balcony. Whistler's main trails were right out the door and 3 picturesque lakes were within a 5 minutes walk.
Trail Blazing - We rallied on two, 1 hour epic trail runs around Whistler. The first was up around the lost lake area with amazing trails like Toads of the Short Forrest, Pinocchio's Furniture and Donkey Punch. The next day we hit the south side of the valley for a very steep accent above Alta Lake which opened up into huge alpine views.
Flip Flop Adventure - After a morning run we explored The Valley Trail around Alta Lake. The route covered over 10Kof docks, beaches, dog parks and perfect swimming holes.
Stanley Park - We stopped by Stanley Park in Vancouver on the way home for some food and sun. A group of 50+ cyclists had just arrived in the park after a 69 day trip from New Hampshire...pretty impressive.
